Already documented in 1538 as the court of Cesole, in 1575 it belonged to Ferdinando Gonzaga, lord ofGuastalla, who, in 1594, gave it to Ercole Gonzaga. After being transferred to Duke Vincenzo, Lord of Mantua, it passed into the hands of Gerolamo Bianchi. The splendid villa, today in neo-classical style, has recently been restored and is part of a group of buildings including store-rooms, stables, church and a large park with Italian-style garden characterised with an emblematic tower-like building at the century (Dovecote). Inside, the villa has Sixteenth century frescoes with grotesquesby the painter known as Fornaretto Mantovano.
