An 18C parish church featuring an imposing cycle of frescoes painted by Giorgio Anselmi of Verona in 1792-1793.
The artist (also responsible for the Sala dei Fiumi in Palazzo Ducale, the dome of Sant’Andrea in Mantua and the Sanctuary of San Luigi Gonzaga in Castiglione delle Stiviere) portrayed Bible and Christological scenes on the walls of the nave, the vaulted ceiling, the arches of the chapels and the apse.
The presbytery is adorned with two paintings by Giuseppe Bazzani, signed and dated 1754 (Il Pianto delle Marie and a Deposition).
