The tiny hamlet of Carbonarola (approx. 60 people) boasts a parish church with a rare and unusual oval plan, built in 1649. The corte where the church stands was first owned by the Andreasi family, then the Agnelli and, finally, the Della Valle families.
The Blessed Osanna, a Dominican tertiary, used to holiday here as a child with her father Niccolò Andreasi.
