A plaque on the exterior commemorates Monsignor Luigi Martini, spiritual comforter of the Belfiore Martyrs and born in Sustinente.
Founded by the monks of Polirone, its present architecture, now restored, is in 18C Neoclassical style.
The interior, with a nave and two aisles, has tempera paintings on the 20C ceiling portraying the Holy Spirit. Paintings depicting St Michael, St Lucy and St Philomena are by Giulio Cesare Arrivabene, an early 19C painter from Mantua; coeval carved choir by Ferdinando Bergamaschi and stucco decoration by Mario Polpatelli.
